Position Title:  Engineering Intern

Company:  3D Printing Company
Report to: Founder
Summary: Great opportunity to get hands on experience in 3D printing and product development! Job includes assisting in research, development, testing, planning, and design activities for engineering projects. Work is associated with 3D printing technology, product development, manufacturing engineering, and medical devices. The company provides product development and 3D printing process advisory services to clients ranging from start-up ventures to established corporations. Work covers initial concept feasibility through production management.

Typical Work Assignments:
Internet based research: Search companies, news, and products in Japanese. Review and report on findings. Follow-up with companies and individuals of interest for additional information.
Product Design: Utilize CAD skills to create digital designs based on verbal and written instructions.
Product Fabrication: Learn and apply 3D printing technologies to create products (prototypes and finished products)

Requirements: 
Completion of sophomore or junior year of university program in Mechanical Engineering, material science, industrial engineering, or related fields.
Proficient with Microsoft office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Preferred: Experience with CAD software (I use Fusion 360)
Experience with 3D printing
Language: Native Japanese proficiency, some English language proficiency.

Work Schedule:
10 – 15 hours/ week. Flexible hours to be mutually agreed. Remote and in-office work options. Office hours are 10:00 – 18:00.

Work Location: Toranomon, Tokyo.
