Entrepreneurship

 Coming Soon

This entrepreneurship program is for those who are thinking seriously to come to Japan but do not yet have any experience living in Japan nor speak the language. Or it could also be for undergraduates or young professionals who are hoping to acquire or enhance their Japanese language level to work in Japan. This two-month program will next start in September of 2020. Participants can apply at any time; nevertheless, spaces are limited to 35 people, and therefore, we urge you to apply very early. The application will be on a rolling basis (i.e. first come first serve).

This program will run for 8 weeks with intensive Japanese with a teacher for 1.5 hours every weekday, 5 days a week (except for national holidays), combined with a weekly professional coaching/etiquette training to learn the Japanese culture in a professional environment. There will be two excursions to certain cultural sites or high-tech company factories around Tokyo and one professional networking event every month meeting some key individuals from corporates. Fundamentals in real estate Tokyo will also be introduced, and a project in marketing and advertising will be conducted for a corporate client. Students collectively as a group will be expected to do a presentation to a group of professionals on the projects undertaken.

Housing will be provided with breakfast and dinner. Excursions and networking events are also covered in the tuition. Participant must bring one's own cash to cover personal expenses such as lunch and local transportation.

Towards the end of the two-month program, participant's discipline, professional conduct, and Japanese language level will be evaluated in order to assess the participant's qualification in starting an internship at a company. If the participant is deemed to need more studying, we will request the student to participate in an extended language program.

When the participant is evaluated successfully to begin working for a corporate, the participant will spend minimum one month interning with the company. Most companies will request for an average of 3-6 months interning time leading potentially to full-time employment at some of the companies. This will depend on the participant's performance and the employer's offering at the time. If time permits and the participant is able to extend the permit of residence, there is also a possibility to intern with more than one company. (Please remember that depending on the company, there may or may not be compensation provided as it depends on the permit status when residing in Japan.)

During the internship, the participant may reside in the same apartment, however, must continue to pay the appropriate rent on a monthly basis. If the location of the internship is very far, then relocation of residency may be required, and rent paid accordingly.

At the end of the program, a certificate will be issued from the Global Internship Program, and a reference letter from the company and from the Global Internship Program both in English and in Japanese will be issued. There will be a permanent username with an account from which you can download and will be able to share to your future employers to observe, when necessary.

Monthly cost of the program is 3,500 US dollar, including tax (10% VAT in Japan). A non-refundable application fee of 50 US dollar. The two-month program will be altogether a tuition of 7,000 US dollar that must be paid in advance.

If the participant behaves in an unprofessional manner or disrespects the customs or the laws of Japan, the participant will be requested to leave immediately without any refund.

There will be pre-screening and interviewing to evaluate the participant's ability to attend the program.
